Chilliwack Mural Festival

The Situation

Though the Chilliwack Mural Festival (CMF) has been an annual event for a few years, the organization didn't have a proper brand until 2022, the development of which aimed to help the festival grow. Much like the event, this project aimed to make the brand playful, fun, and approachable. The objective was to present an event that would appeal to people of multiple ages within and outside the Fraser Valley.

The Process

Developed with illustrator Sarah Haglund and a designer, the CMF brand is based on an iconic object in Chilliwack—corn. This concept created multiple assets, including a wayfinding tool, a new website, promotions, and digital engagement campaigns. The CMF brand serves to unify these campaigns with a cohesive look and feel.

The Results

Over time, the enhanced branding, social media management, and awareness generated by the Good Creative team have helped propel the event to new levels of success in the Chilliwack community. 

Fun fact: the owner of Good Creative runs the festival behind the scenes, and Good provided a lot of work pro bono to support the local arts scene in Chilliwack.
