We can’t help but look at the brands around us through the lens of a creative agency. Since we’re based in the Lower Mainland, we thought it would be fun to create a list of the best brands in Chilliwack.
What Makes a Strong Brand?
Imagine a good brand as a person you really like and trust. That’s how we think of brands and how we decided which Chilliwack brands to include in our list. It boils down to four major things:
Consistency: Just like how your favourite person always acts the same way, a good brand is reliable and stays true to its values across everything it does.
Connection: Think about how a brand makes you feel. A good brand connects with you emotionally, whether it makes you excited about its products or confident in its services.
Recognition: A good brand is recognizable across all platforms. Whether you see it on social media, their website, or in an ad, the brand’s style and message are consistent. When you come into contact with good branding you think, “I know this guy!”
Attention: Like a good friend who cares about your opinions, a good brand pays attention to what customers want and need. This could mean improving products based on feedback or providing excellent customer service.

A strong brand in Chilliwack and across the globe, Ritchie Bros. has built a recognizable business by focusing on its relationships. This allows it to connect sellers for its auction with a diverse market. If you haven’t noticed the lot and signage from highway 1, take a look next time!
District 1881 is a perfect example of place branding. Leveraging its architecture, walkable alleys, and vibrant mix of shops, restaurants, and cultural spots, it is a unique neighbourhood that attracts both locals and visitors.
Talk about a clear and consistent brand identity. Through a precise blend of visual aesthetics, brand voice, and customer experience, Hotel Morado branding effectively communicates its unique story. We also highly recommend staying at their hotel as a guest!
In addition to being a total vibe, Smoking Gun Coffee’s branding is distinct, captures attention, and is engaging. Everything is cohesive, from its logo to packaging, store design, and website (and try not to smile when you see the website's scroll trigger effects).
There is absolutely no question who Fieldhouse Brewing is and what it is about. Its focus on local ingredients, community engagement, and welcoming atmosphere come through at all its audience touchpoints. We are also a big sucker for the fox!
Which Brands Should Be Added to this List?
We have a lot of enthusiasm and appreciation for solid, well-thought-out brands and we love to lift up others who do amazing work (there’s room for everyone).
